SuperBunny!
This is one of Big Mochi’s Bunnies. There is a long history behind Bunny, but for now, we’ll leave this history lesson behind and be content with knowing that this is one of her many Bunnies. I just loved that she had the creativity and imagination to one day dress him up with Baby Mochi’s bib for a cape and one of her stretched out hair rubberbands that she turned into a belt. There were other Super Bunnies who had bracelets and capes, but this one was first and it was awesome. Sadly, Super Bunny is not a graceful superhero who swoops through the air with finesse and purpose. He depends more on fate of Big Mochi’s flinging, which sometimes lands him careening through the livingroom while skimming off the white flaky texture from the ceiling. All in all, though, he lives quite the exciting life.

Happy Boys’ Day!
Poor boys. May 5th used to be Boys’ Day in Japan and then it got turned into Children’s Day. Yet March 3rd remains Girls’ Day. What a jip. gyp? jip? Whatever… you get my meaning. Anyway, too much work to put up the one big koi on my roof since I got pink mochis. Hahahahaha. If you don’t know what I’m talking about, just celebrate your Cinco de Mayo and move on. I’m feeling loopy.
You know, I sometimes have to answer my boss’ phone calls so I can only use one earphone when I listen to my itunes at work. And every time I answer the phone, I always wonder if the guy on the phone can hear my music through my head.

Some days it’s all worth it
Aside from the fact that it was freezing, the PCRF walk was a ton of fun. Thank goodness I bundled the kids up like no tomorrow. Last year it was horribly hot, but this morning it was cloudy and cool and the perfect weather to take a long walk pushing a sit n stand stroller with 2 mochis on it totalling around 70 pounds. We got medals across the finish line. Due to Big Mochi’s fever a couple of days ago, we opted NOT to have her run the kid’s 1K race. Instead, she stood on the back of the stroller the entire time while Baby Mochi asked for snacks the whole ride. The after-festivities were fun as usual. Jumpers, puppies, and reptile people! Mini rides, shave ice (that’s right. SHAVE ICE, not shaved ice), and samples of all sorts of stuff. Komodo Dragon, I think this was.
After a nap, we ran to gymnastics/tumbling classes, played crazy 8s, colored, played Winterbells, ate a whole bunch of snacks, had a salmon dinner G made, it was a long busy day. Can’t complain, though. Some days it just can’t get any better.
Many mahalos to everyone who donated to us!!!
Mochi Misery
Aunty told me Big Mochi was sick and needed to go home. I had a pretty good idea it would happen, but hoped she’d be fine since there was a birthday party today. Of course, it had to be on a day where G is swamped and cannot take off early, the last day before all billing has to be inputed into our system at work, AND the last day of Vista training for me. I did leave early to get the mochis, and Big Mochi developed a high fever for the rest of the day, kept under control by Tylenol. Baby Mochi took a 2nd nap in her crib and then G came home in the early evening. When everyone got up, we all took a stroll to Robek’s, which was fabulous! We are pretty die-hard Jamba Juice fans, but I gotta say… I think I like Robek’s better. Not to mention it’s within walking distance from my house. I love Starbuck’s, too, which is next to Robek’s, but the It’s A Grind by my house I can almost spit at, yet there isn’t much that can compete with my Tall Green Tea Frappuccinos No Melon Syrup and No Whip. Yummo!
Anyway, the walk did us all good and we all had a nice lovely evening.
Tomorrow is our Pediatric Cancer Research Foundation 5K walk down in Irvine. Can’t wait! Anyone wanna donate? There’s still time!!
Funny you should ask…
Lots of stuff to talk about tonight. 1) We had company over for dinner and my meal was a hit. Whoo hoo! The girls were great sports, considering we scheduled dinner late and they were hungry but not as fussy as they totally could’ve been. 2) I got Vista installed at work yesterday and while normally I’d be able to figure everything out, I had no patience for it. It’s like when you move and have to start shopping at a new supermarket. You know what you want is in there; just can’t figure out where the hell it is! I am sure that in a year I will be looking back wondering how I could’ve hated it so much because by then it’ll start getting standardized and I’ll be used to it. 3) I am posting this picture because this is Baby Mochi trying to save her balloon after G vaccuumed up the string and it was just hilarious to me.
Happy May 1st. Sheesh, it’s amazing how fast this year has gone by so far. Or actually, it’s 42 minutes into May 2nd already. Why am I up, you ask? Well it’s simple, really. I actually WAS fast asleep dreaming happy dreams when I got rudely awakened by a cough, a whimper and then I was getting thrown up on. So what am I doing up? Laundry, of course! And I’m lying down wrapped in my Ikea down comforter on the livingroom floor next to Big Mochi, who is snoring. Whenever she’s sick, I like to keep an eye on her so we’re kind of like camping out. Inside the house. Without a tent. And with a laptop. Okay, so the only thing remotely resembling a campout is the sleeping bag, really. Forget it. Ignore me. Good night!
