Proud of me?

I was calculating and it took me:

1 evening to pick out the fabric
1 evening to pre-wash the fabric
1 evening to cut the paper pattern
1 evening to pin and cut the fabric
And then my friend did a Joann’s run and got me a couple of extra things that I needed

I figured one more night wouldn’t kill me.

So last night after making a starbucks caffeine run at 9:30 pm, I started sewing.

2:30 am, my sewing machine was packed up and with the exception of needing 2 small strips of elastic and some ties to sew on (only because i think it’s too heavy for velcro to hold the straps up), Baby Mochi’s duck costume is complete!

I put it on her this morning and she was cracking up.

It’s huge, though, (fits Big Mochi, too) and it was a big mistake to use the super plush furry fabric instead of what it called for.

But still, it’s done and she’s wearing it to the daycare party on Friday and for trick-or-treating on Friday night!!!!!
Now tonight I’m cleaning out my pumpkin and Vaseline-ing it for carving tomorrow.  Carving tools is a different story.  I’ll get back to you on that.  Tomorrow we’re carving and cooking for pot lucks and making treat bags for mochi buddies.  After that, Halloween is over and I’m not responsible for Thanksgiving preparations this year so I can concentrate on Christmas!!!!!!!!!!
