It can’t be any fresher
Big Mochi watched an episode of *Caillou once where he was taken to a strawberry patch to pick his own berries. Ever since then, she’s been wanting to go. She never ASKS to go, mind you. Instead, she says, “I really wish I could go pick strawberries at the strawberry patch one day.” Her technique worked, and we took the mochis to a local strawberry farm to pick their own organic strawberries. It was 9:30 in the morning and probably around 92 degrees, but we had a great time. I just wish I could’ve found their hats. Poor little things got fried. Thank goodness for sunscreen, boy! They take you on a wagon ride to tour the entire farm, where they grow organic vegetables, and you get to sample them! Then you end up in the middle of the fields where you can pick your own berries and eat as much as you like before heading back. Baby Mochi got a little crabby whenever the wagon stopped, but once it got going, she was good. Big Mochi thought everything was great, seeing as how she finally got to do it on her own. At this farm during the summer, they grow watermelons and in the fall, they have pumpkins and a petting zoo and a corn maze and stuff. Pumpkins in the fall, okay, but the watermelons in the scorching heat? I’ll pass.
